OUR STORY

THE FRENCH RIVER

The French River is the first designated Canadian Heritage River. It flows 105 Km from Lake Nipissing to Georgian Bay. The river was the route of the First Nations, French Explorers, fur traders and Voyageurs. If you are interested in learning about the history of the French River in detail, the French River Visitors Centre is located just 8 Kilometers away from our camp off of Hwy 69. The centre has a "Voices of the River" exhibit that tells the stories of this historic waterway.
